sie sah mich an. müde augen. abgespannt. „so kann es nicht weitergehen”, sagte sie. und während ich noch grübelte, ob ich das nicht schon mal irgendwo gehört hatte, murmelte ich „ja.”. ich meinte „nein”. aber irgendwie gab etwas in mir auf. im hals oder etwas weiter oben. wieder mal. wo ist der fallschirm, wenn man ihn braucht? „houston, ich rase auf die erde zu. lasst euch was einfallen...”. ihre stimme rüttelte mich: „was heißt ‚ja'? ich tue das alles hier für uns. und was machst du? was ist dein anteil?”. „ich bin der sandsack!” dachte ich und sagte nichts. ich starrte an ihr vorbei, durch sie hindurch. leere. wie eine welle, die sich weit vor der küste auf den aufprall vorbereitet und dann einfach nur ausläuft.

worauf lief das hinaus? artikulation des unvermeidlichen? vollendung des unausweichlichen? ich stellte mir vor, wie ich einen wagen steuerte. von der strecke abkommend. die hände ins lenkrad gehauen. unfähig links oder rechts einzuschlagen. den baum vor augen. starr. unfähig. nicht fähig bis zum aufprall. glück hat der, der lebend heraus kommt, oder nicht?! die narben bleiben. hier sieh.

wir waren nicht pilcher, nicht kafka. wir waren gewöhnlich und nicht mal gut darin. ein fortsetzungsroman, der sich die absetzung herbeisehnt.
